
As director of the EDGE Innovation Network, Pete is responsible for leading the EDGE presence and is a key contributor to new project development within the EDGE. He is also develops long-range strategy objectives to ensure continued growth of the EDGE network.
Prior to joining General Dynamics C4 Systems, Pete performed over 32 years of active service as a commissioned officer in the United States Army, retiring in 2008 as a Brigadier General. His experience in the Army includes a wide range of assignments in the Infantry, both stateside and abroad.
During his career with the Army, Pete was assigned to serve as the Director of Accelerated Capabilities Development for the Army Capabilities Integration Center (ARCIC) at Fort Monroe, Va., where he managed a broad capabilities development portfolio with responsibility for the development and integration of Department of the Army future and current fight capabilities documents. He was also instrumental in championing the Army’s push into understanding and improving the relationship between the soldier and technology.
Pete’s experience as a thought leader in Human Dimension has kept him at the forefront of technology discovery and allowed him to interact with the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), industry and academia. He is applying this experience to move the EDGE Innovation Network to the next level, keeping it at the forefront of understanding the technology gaps warfighters and first responders face and developing new ways for them to assess and manage information.

In his capacity as EDGE Enterprise Manager and Chief Engineer, Ron’s responsibilities encompass all aspects of the EDGE Innovation Network’s operations, including developing relationships with EDGE members, interfacing with General Dynamics senior leadership, oversight of the geographically distributed EDGE Innovation Centers, and EDGE project and program management.
Ron’s diverse experience includes 25 years of engineering leadership, project and program management and technical business development. In addition, Ron has led the development of new technologies and products within the EDGE Innovation Center in Scottsdale and has had a history of success using the EDGE process to rapidly field technology to the battlefield.
Prior to joining the EDGE staff, Ron led the Warrior Systems and Collaborative Battle Management engineering organizations at General Dynamics C4 Systems. He provided senior technical and managerial leadership for contracts and pursuits associated with soldier systems for the Department of Defense. In parallel, Ron was a major contributor in the establishment and growth of the EDGE® Innovation Network.
Ron is based in Scottsdale, Ariz.
In his capacity as Membership Relations and GDC4S Science & Technology, Lou’s responsibilities include identifying business development opportunity in science and technology, developing and managing relationships with EDGE member organizations, interfacing with government entities on behalf of the EDGE and EDGE project and program management.
Lou served with the United States Army as a communications systems officer, comptroller and acquisition manager for tactical data radios. After his service, Lou was employed as a senior telecommunications engineer and field office director where he was engaged in Army research and development and integration initiatives.
Lou’s experience includes over 30 years of operational experience with military communications systems; command and control and intelligence systems; systems engineering; acquisition reform; research and development, and technology management.Lou is based at the Aberdeen Proving Ground in Maryland.
As the lead systems engineer for the EDGE® Innovation Network, Mike identifies and evaluates technology and innovation insertions that enhances the capabilities and effectiveness of warfighters and first responders. His responsibilities include: Independent Research and Development efforts, identifying emerging technologies and business development opportunities, technology road mapping, project leadership and rapid prototyping of technology candidates.
Mike’s 20 plus years of engineering experience coupled with his military service provide him with a true “user” perspective and understanding of many operational and technical challenges experienced daily by military users and first responders. Previously, he served as a system task lead on the U.S. Army Land Warrior program where he led the requirements validation and integration of soldier-worn systems. In addition, he worked on analysis and evaluation of components to improve a similar system ensemble for the U.S. Air Force and Air Force Special Operations Command.
Mike has served 17 years of active and reserve duty in the U.S. Army and is currently serving as an Infantry officer in the Army National Guard. His service includes two combat deployments in support of Operation Enduring Freedom as both an Infantry platoon leader and a detachment commander. He holds a bachelor of science in systems engineering from the University of Arizona in Tucson and is currently working on a master’s degree in Intelligence Studies.

Sheila is responsible for the facility management of the EDGE Innovation Center in Leavenworth, Kan. She schedules facility usage and maintenance, resources, off-site personnel travel coordination, and all operations. She is an integral part of Human Centered Design (HCD) events at the facility. Sheila is also actively involved in marketing the EDGE facility and encouraging military personnel to participate in engineering and human-centered design events.
Prior to joining the EDGE at General Dynamics C4 Systems, Sheila founded, managed and operated two entrepreneurial businesses in the communication industry. She has over 15 years experience in communications industry including teaching, planning and marketing implementation from students to global media conglomerates.
Sheila is based in Leavenworth, Kan.

Innovation Center Leads
The Innovation Center Leads are located at EDGE Innovation Centers worldwide and are dedicated to providing member support and management of the facility and any projects created there.
Mr. Rock Marcone is the director of General Dynamics Land Systems’ Maneuver Collaboration Center (mc²) which is part of the EDGE Innovation Network. The mission of mc² is to create a collaborative environment to foster innovative solutions and enable rapid transition of mature technologies into vehicles and programs to address the U.S. Armed Forces immediate needs.
Joe DiSciullo serves as the senior program manager for General Dynamics C4 Systems. He is responsible for the management, planning and execution of all projects that occur within the Vehicle C4ISR EDGE Innovation Center in Taunton, Mass. His duties include developing relationships with EDGE® members and integrating EDGE member capabilities and technologies into innovative solutions that help warfighters and first responders execute their missions in a more effective manner.
Joe’s diverse experience includes over 25 years of engineering leadership, project management and technical business development. His experience managing complex projects include a wide range of assignments in both the commercial and government sectors. Prior to joining the Vehicle C4ISR EDGE, Joe was the deputy program manager of engineering for a number of General Dynamics C4 Systems programs including the U.S. Army’s Warfighter Information Network-Tactical (WIN-T) Increment Two where he helped guide the program from the system development to production.
Joe also has various experiences working with the U.S. Department of Defense and commercial telecommunication companies such as Bell South, and Bell Atlantic/Verizon. He has also managed telecommunication projects with Australia’s Telstra and Japan’s cellular operators DDI and IDO.
Joe earned his bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Economics from Boston College in Chestnut Hills, Mass. and holds a master’s degree in Business Administration from Babson College in Babson Park, Mass.

Roger is based in Orlando, Fla.
Medio serves as a senior program manager for both General Dynamics C4 Systems and the EDGE Innovation Network. He is responsible for the Marine Corps Command and Control Systems portfolio including identifying customer needs and technology gaps that help Marines become more efficient and effective in their missions.
Louise Mothersole serves as the senior programme manager for the EDGE® UK. She is responsible for the management, planning and execution of all projects that occur within the EDGE UK in South Wales, United Kingdom. Her duties include developing relationships with EDGE UK members and integrating EDGE UK member capabilities and technologies into innovative solutions that help warfighters and first responders execute their missions in a more effective manner.
Louise has over 20 years of experience in managing large, complex, national and multi-national programmes within the defence industry. She has had numerous successes working with innovative technology developers seeking solutions to current operational problems and facilitating their rapid introduction into the supply chain. She also builds cross domain teams and ensures comprehensive stakeholder management.
Prior to working with General Dynamics, Louise worked in several roles for QinetiQ Limited where she performed business development, research, programme management and technical management in how to grow business in both the United Kingdom and United States markets. She also worked for the Defence Evaluation Research Agency where she developed systems engineering and requirements, researched weapons systems programmes, and led the Ministry of Defence’s Human Factors Integration research programme.
Louise is graduated from Bolton Institute of Higher Education with a first class honours degree in Psychology. She is an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society, a Chartered Psychologist, and a Prince2® Registered Practitioner.
Louise is based in South Wales, UK.
Robin Roberson Murphy is the Raytheon Professor of Computer Science and Engineering at Texas A&M, Director of the Center for Robot-Assisted Search and Rescue, and co-lead of the Emergency Informatics EDGE® Innovation Center. She has over 100 publications on artificial intelligence, human-robot interaction, and heterogeneous teams of robots including the textbook, Introduction to AI Robotics. She has led the insertion of ground, air, and sea robots at disasters including the 9/11 World Trade Center disaster, hurricanes Katrina and Charley, the Crandall Canyon Utah mine collapse, and most recently assisting with the Tohoku tsunami response and Fukushima incident.
Tom Plachecki serves as a senior program manager for General Dynamics C4 Systems and the lead for the EDGE® Federal/Civil and Cyber EDGE Innovation Centers. He is responsible for the management, planning and execution of all projects that occur within the centers in Scottsdale and Tempe, Ariz. and Annapolis Junction, Md. His duties include developing relationships with EDGE® members and integrating EDGE member capabilities and technologies into innovative solutions that help warfighters and first responders execute their missions in a more effective manner.
Tom’s has over 25 years of experience in electrical engineering, software engineering, systems engineering, business development and program management. Prior to his role with the EDGE, Tom was the was the business manager for Platform Information Assurance and Cyber at General Dynamics C4 Systems where he managed cryptographic programs for the U.S. Government and led the introduction of high grade information security solutions in mobile platforms and vehicles.
Tom earned his bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and a master’s in Business Administration from Arizona State University in Tempe, Ariz. Tom is a member of the University of Texas-El Paso Electrical Engineering Advisory Board.

Jason’s enthusiastic experiences underpin his most recent responsibility as Canada EDGE Innovation Manager. Jason brings with him next generation thinking and seven years of engineering experience on leading programs in the Canadian defence and space industries. Prior to joining General Dynamics and the EDGE, Jason worked with a Canadian space-telecommunications leader, Telesat Canada where he developed spacecraft operational infrastructures for North American broadcasting and communications.
Georgie Brophy is responsible for business development for the General Dynamics C4 Systems Seabrook, Maryland office. She focuses on developing business relationships with NASA for C4 Systems and manages the Space Innovation Center that is part of the EDGE® Innovation Network. For the Space Innovation Center, Brophy works closely with peers from industry and academia to bring advanced technology and innovation together with NASA personnel to help launch and operate the agency’s next-generation space missions. General Dynamics C4 Systems sponsors the EDGE Innovation Network.
Prior to joining General Dynamics C4 Systems, Brophy was a senior associate with Booz Allen Hamilton. She also worked as a consultant for International Technology Management, Inc. and was a systems engineer with Omitron, Inc. While at Omitron, Brophy lead Space Shuttle mission operations for the Goddard Space Flight Centers Hitchhiker program and supported mission operations for Landsat-7, an Earth-observing satellite.
Brophy has a master’s degree in Business Administration from University of Maryland, Robert H. Smith School of Business and a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Notre Dame.
